1. Acceptance

By accessing or using TinImg (“the Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Service description

TinImg is a free, browser-based image compression tool. Compression runs entirely on your device using WebAssembly libraries. No images are uploaded to or stored on any server we operate.

The Service is provided as a free utility. We make no warranty that compressed output will meet your specific quality, file-size, or compatibility expectations for any particular image.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

• Process content that is illegal under the laws of your jurisdiction or the operator's jurisdiction.
• Attempt to abuse the contact form, send spam, or impersonate others.
• Attempt to circumvent rate limits, scrape the Service at scale, or impair its availability.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract source code beyond what is publicly published.

4. Intellectual property

Your images remain entirely yours. We claim no rights to them, and they never leave your device when you use the Service.

The TinImg site code is licensed under the terms in the LICENSE file in the public repository.

Trademarks referenced on this site (MozJPEG, WebP, Squoosh, Next.js, Tailwind CSS, and others) belong to their respective owners. TinImg is not affiliated with or endorsed by Mozilla, Google, or the Squoosh project.

5. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted availability. We do not warrant that compressed output will be free of artifacts, lossless, or suitable for any particular use case.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator's total liability arising out of or relating to the Service shall not exceed the greater of fifty US dollars (US$50) or the fees you have paid to use the Service (which is zero, since the Service is free). The operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill.

7. Third-party services

The Service uses Google Analytics, Google AdSense / Funding Choices, the jsDelivr CDN, MailChannels (for contact-form delivery), and Cloudflare (for hosting). Use of those services is subject to their own terms. See the Privacy Policy for links.

8. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any dispute arising out of or relating to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Prague, Czech Republic.

9. Changes to these terms

Material changes will be announced on the site for at least 30 days before taking effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
