Summary

• Your images are compressed entirely in your browser. They are never uploaded to any server.
• We use Google Analytics to count anonymous page views and Google AdSense to show ads.
• If you live in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, a consent banner asks before non-essential cookies are set.

What we collect

TinImg is a static site. We collect the following data via third-party services:

• Google Analytics: page views, referrer, browser type, approximate country (IP-based, anonymized). No personally identifiable information.
• Google AdSense: ad impressions, ad clicks, and the cookies AdSense uses to serve and measure ads. Subject to Google's privacy policy.
• Contact form: if you submit the contact form, we receive the name, email, and message you typed. Used only to reply to you.

What we don't collect

• Your images. Compression runs in your browser using WebAssembly. The image data never leaves your device.
• Image filenames or metadata.
• Account information — there are no accounts.
• Precise geolocation.

Cookies and similar technologies

TinImg sets the following cookies and storage:

• Google Analytics cookies (_ga, _ga_*) — measure traffic anonymously, retained up to 14 months.
• Google AdSense cookies — used to serve ads and measure performance.
• Funding Choices consent cookie — remembers your consent choice if you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland.

You can clear cookies in your browser at any time. Doing so resets your consent choice on your next visit.

• jsDelivr CDN — delivers the WebAssembly compression libraries to your browser. Privacy policy.

Your rights

If you live in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have the following rights regarding personal data we process:

• Access — request a copy of any data we hold about you.
• Rectification — ask us to correct inaccurate data.
• Erasure — ask us to delete data we hold about you.
• Portability — request your data in a machine-readable format.
• Objection — object to processing for direct marketing.
• (California only) opt-out of the sale of personal information. We do not sell personal information.

Children

TinImg is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has submitted personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Data retention

Google Analytics retains data for up to 14 months. Contact-form emails are kept until your inquiry is resolved, after which they may be deleted at the operator's discretion. Ad-network cookies follow Google's retention policies.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be announced on the site for at least 30 days before taking effect. The “last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
